Morrisonite CABOCHON STONE READY FOR ANY SETTING 
Morrisonite Jasper generally has a great pattern of orbs in earthtone and pastel colors of creams, greens, and blues.

It was named after James Morrison, an old timer who lived in and explored the area for 50 years. He was the first to bring this material to the public.

This great gemstone material comes from the famous Morrisonite Ranch area, which actually consist of 5 claim sites. They are located above the Owhyee Mountains of southeastern Oregon near the Idaho border.

Morrisonite is formed in Rhyolite and confined to one small area, although the surrounding territory is of the same formation. Therefore the supply of this beautiful material is limited. The area is very rugged and perched on the side of the hill. The area has been closed by the BLM as it is too dangerous.
