With shades of Neon green, blue, firey red and orange and sunny yellow - this is a superb example of this increasingly rare gemstone that only comes from Alberta in Canada. Considered the rarest gemstone in the world and in short supply - because the mining is affecting the water supply - it is going up and up in price!
It measures 18 by 9 by 3.5mm. 4.51ct.
The ammolite alone is an un-usable small sliver, but this has been masterfully fused to a strong holding stone and then coated with AAA grade resin for protection and further durability - giving it a MOHS hardness of 7. (scale 1-10 - 10 being diamond) It is called a doublet.
