Wonderful example of well-formed brown sparkling Grossular Garnet crystals on matrix. The Garnet crystals are translucent and have well-defined faces and edges. The locality is hardly known to the mineral world and hardly any of this material is available on the market which makes it a rare specimen. Although crystals are visible to the naked eye, specimen requires magnification (loupe) in order to fully enjoy the very interesting structures , crystals look beautiful under magnification . A wonderful example of Grossular from northern Greece. Good garnet specimen from this locality! Will be an impressive addition to any rock and mineral collection.
