This specimen is in its natrual state and as its volcanic rock its hard to get a good polish.Some people use oil to finish it as it brings the stone up blacker.
Chrysanthemum gemstone seems to have received its name because of the unique patterns embedded in the stone which resembles that of the flowering chrysanthemums.
