Padparadscha is a rare and highly prized variety of sapphire, known for its unique pinkish-orange or orangey-pink color, reminiscent of a lotus blossom. It's a beautiful, delicate blend of these two hues, with a low to medium saturation. The name "padparadscha" originates from the Sinhalese word for lotus blossom, "padma radschen". These sapphires are primarily found in Sri Lanka, Madagascar, and Tanzania.
