Unheated padparadscha sapphire weighing 5.4ct from Tajikistan.
The natural sapphire is orangy pink, in any light.
The sapphire has inclusions, also the reason the stone has a great pad color.
The orangy pink is luminous under low light, then there is that 'incandescent' glow that is dimmed in daylight.
But as mentioned, this pad's color is distinct in any light, it does not fade.
It does not allude to color; it just is.
The Tajikistan mines produce very minimal of this specimen (not a spinel!); when they surface it is only an opening in time and usually smaller/included stones that tell their story.
This is a lovely specimen for this origin, along the Tajikistan-Kashmir belt.
The stone measures 9.81 x 8.11 x 7.88 mm.
