But Afghanite holds a secret. While it looks cool and tranquil in daylight, it comes alive under ultraviolet light. When exposed to Long Wave UV (blacklight), most Afghanite specimens erupt with a brilliant bright orange fluorescence, creating a breathtaking contrast against the blue stone.
