  Rutile (or Rutilated) Quartz is clear or Smoky quartz with inclusions of rutile crystals. Rutile is the mineral name for natural crystals of titanium dioxide. Rutile is best known for its affect on gemstones such as Star Sapphire and tigers eye,  where microscopic rutile crystals bundle so tightly that they bend light into band and star patterns.

Wonder of nature, quartz accommodated various inclusions during its formation, sometimes, rutile needles forming sheaves of wire of bronze color, the chlorite adding a key of green to the hot colors such an oasis in the desert.  Elsewhere this is a true watery landscape which is revealed to the eye.
