At this quality, it’s possible that we have the one of the best prices anywhere. We are aware of this and we hope you are too.
The lively blue color of this gem earns it the Lotus “cornflower blue” distinction.
This cornflower blue sapphire is from Sri Lanka. Its shape is an antique cushion cut, an older cut seen in many heirloom treasures set with Ceylon sapphires.
I’ve photographed it with an 18th century Nizam ring, to show you how it would have been set once upon a time. The antique cut/shape of this blue sapphire is sometimes referred to in the industry as an “antique sapphire”.
For the gem connoisseur and noob alike, this sapphire with its fine report present an excellent opportunity in sourcing a colored stone online.

A look at our selection will reveal that we are not gem dealers. The items we include for sale here come from our own private collection, with some lots used for setting our own jewellery. What we mean to say is, these are all high quality pieces that have passed through a strict selection, rather than just gems made available for sale. None of these are for sale like available “stock” in a store.
Which explains why the prices may look too good to be true - we use these gems ourselves!
We are artists/craftsmen/jewellers with plans to use the gems you see here some day. But until then (and for cash flow reasons), these are available to similar minds.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
