Variscite is the most beautiful stone - We were delighted when we discovered this rough from Western Australia.  We also have Variscite from Utah USA.  It is a new stone in our stock and it has taken us so long to find this supreme quality we wanted to sell to our valued customers.

From near Milgun station in Western Australia.  Variscite is a hydrated aluminium phosphate mineral (AlPO₄·2H₂O). It is a relatively rare phosphate mineral. The green color results from the presence of small amounts of chromium. The mineral occurs as a cement in a brecciated, cherty limestone and a brecciated rhyolite, as nodules in the cherty portions of the breccias and also as veins traversing these rocks. It is also found as nests in weathered pegmatites. The crystals occur as coarsely granular, loosely coherent masses in more compact granular masses.
