A fantastic Spinel that flouresces both pink and lavender tones. A wonderful cut and great cutting dimensions with good facet angles. This stone is a great buy and color change spinels like this are gaining in popularity. So the price will soon start zooming up - at the moment they are reasonable! Untreated gemstone from the Mogok mine in Burma where all our Spinels come from (and the Namya mine) Please consider the level of magnification of this stone. Clearly visible in the blown up shot are tiny octahedral crystals which you expect to see in Burma Spinel - this stone is probably magnified 100 times or more on the screen - so you will not see this through the loupe at 10 times magnification.
