1.70 Ct purplish pink kashmir Batakundi sapphire.

From the remote Batakundi Kashmir mines in Pakistan controlled area. Dangerous place to live because of the dispute in the area between Pakistan and India that has been going on for years unfortunately.
Si1 inclusions. Not visible with the naked eye. Stone looks to be hot pink in person. Sorry about the fingerprints in the video. Stone looks far better in person than I could capture in video or the photo’s.
This material comes covered in heavy graphite which makes cleaning of the crystals very difficult. Very small production from these mines makes this material especially rare. Come through the Peshawar market on occasion and is always expensive.
No heat or any treatment on this sapphire. I guarantee you will not be disappointed in this stone. It looks better in person.
