Faceted octahedron diamond.. only faceted on the octahedral faces.
Trigons, quadgons, polishing lines, zoned and planed clouds, beautiful inclusions.. rare glimpse into growth structures and zoning in a natural diamond, provides a rare sight into the growth of the diamond lattice and into what may have occurred during the growth of the crystal !!
ive stil no idea as to how the clouds grew in parallel planes to each other and at the same time terminated at almost the same distance from the core of the lattice in the exact same space and shape to the other parallel plane..
also the cause of this may be the denaturing of the crystal lattice cause be radioactive host material.. weirdly enough many people say that radioactivity causes diamonds to turn green.. these are grey clouds.. which could be hydrogen trace elements or graphene.. which rules out radioactive host material and rules in heat denaturing or lack of pressure on the plasma.. which is even more weird as most scientists agree that diamonds are grown slowly over billions of years! This tells a completely different story! I’d even dare say tells a Story of growth in split seconds!
still doesn’t explain the parallel planes or the distribution of the trace elements within the lattice to form the exact same shape.. also the clouds tend to reflect light and capture light on their own.. this also infers that they perhaps not trace elements within the vacancies of the lattice itself but rather elements or molecules or compounds that are entrapped within the diamond crystal and not the lattice vancancies.. perhaps they are too large in atomic size.. further research will be done on optics of graphene or graphite.. amazing! Truly amazing!! I tend not to hydrogen as there is no fluorescence in the stone.. the plot thickens.. will update as soon as I have any eureka moments of profound scientific thought.. !! :)
also for those of you that are perturbed about this being classified as a rough diamond due to purchase restrictions, worry not, as this is classified as faceted :)
oh and some of the faces have the most excellent of fine polishes I’ve ever!! :D
Thanks :) Enjoy the pictures and vidz!! :) oh the last two pictures are of the lower drakensburg in South Africa!! If the garden of eden had to exist.. G—D put the picture right here in Africa!! <3>
