LAVA PALINS ROUGH SAPPHIRE This is a natural untreated sapphire specimen from the lava plains in queensland. There are inclusions is this piece so it will cut only a smaller stone or it can be kept as a specimen from this field or skin polished. This field for its quality natural blue stones.
The smaller Lava Plains field differs markedly from the Anakie field in that the basalts that host the sapphires are very much in evidence on the field. Located 100km south of Mount Garnet and mining is centred on the Wyandotte Creek area.
The sapphires have since been released from the volcanic material by weathering and erosion, transported by old streams, and concentrated in various layers of gravel (known as “wash”) of Pliocene to Pleistocene age (2 million to 10 000 years ago). This “wash” has also been cut into by present drainage systems.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
