AJOITE PAPAGOITE COPPER IN QUARTZ MESSINA SOUTH AFRICA RARE WORLDCLASS ~ 

Here is a very rare specimen of Ajoite, Papagoite, and Copper in Quartz from the world famous Messina Mine, No5 Shaft (1971) Limpopo Province, South Africa.

The highlight of this specimen is the transparent crystal showing inclusions of both ajoite and papagoite. Quartz with inclusions of both these minerals are exceedingly rare from this locale and since this is the only locale in the world with either of these minerals included in quartz, this makes this specimen VERY rare. The crystal has a perfect termination and excellent clarity so that the papagoite and ajoite inclusions can be clearly seen. In addition to the ajoite and papagoite, copper inclusions can be seen. Professional trimming would be able to turn this specimen into a phenomenal piece, but it currently displays very well as is.
