GR 6 This is an Australian blue sapphire the rough which we obtained from a miner on the central QLD gem fields and brought home to cut and polish at our lapidary. Being a large stone we got it evaluated at Gemval. An Australian company recognized by insurance companies world wide. They valued the stone for insurance purposes at $1397 Australian {$993.52 US} and placed the retail value at $1016 Australian {$722.60 US} the whole sale value was $508 Australian {$361.30 US}. So I thought it would be interesting to see what you guys and girls think its worth and have placed it on the no reserve auction block. If you show me you like it. I'll make the effort to go over the back and buy more bits of rough to cut for you all!
