TREATMENTS
Stones of this type are routinely heated, the treatment is widespread and common. Heating is so prevalent that unless otherwise stated, please assume that the item in the auction has been heat treated. On a very, very infrequent basis, stones of this species are treated with other laboratory hocus pokus. All stones are examined under 30 power magnification for any trace of these treatments. Stones that show treatment are identified as treated.
Stones of this type can be laboratory created. Gemstar never sells laboratory imitation stones, only natural stones that have beauty and are suitable for elegant jewelry applications where the fabricator wants genuine, valuable materials that compliment their hard work and effort.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
