WHOM THE LADY LUCK FAVOURS  My age is 60 and i am buying and selling Gems since 35 years, this is first time i have seen such a huge rock of Lapiz and moreover i was facinated when i heard the story adhered to this Lapiz rough. Last year i visited a city Peshawar/Pakistan a border town with Afghanistan to buy Gems and there i went to see a Gems seller whom i knew for sometimes, in his shop i saw this rough on display and i asked him about this rough so he replied that he has this rough with him since 12 years and there is a very intresting true story behind and narrated to me, which i would like to share with our readers  as follows.

It was a severe cold winter in the remotest of Afghanistan, a small village consisting of few farmers,they were the poorest as the land was not much suitable for farming due to its rocky terrain nature and in that village lived a wood cutter, so on one night of winter it was severe cold and the wood cutter alongwith his three minor children and his wife has made a bfire in his hut to keep themselves wam, then came few neighbours and beg him for some wood to burm as thier children were starving of cold weather, the kind hearted woodcutter nearly gave away all the woods, just keeping little which would last for the night only, his wife got very upset and angry with him and told him that for tommorow we dont have the wood and our own children will die of cold. Anyways next morning his wife said to him to go to the neighbouring village and get the wheat milling (grinding) stones from the villager who got the stones on loan from her, the wood cutter left with his mule to get the stones and on his way back he has noticed that something blue is piercing out of the snow on the ground he picked that up it was just a stone, he said to himself sadly that in my luck only the stones are left and threw back the stone but after walking couple of feets a thought came to his mind that all the stones are brown why this one is blue must be something exceptional and again he picked the stone and loaded it on his mule, when he reached home he thought to take the stone to a shanty small town called Paktee which was about ten km from his hut, anyhow he reached the town and there he bartered the stone and in return he got a pair of young sheeps and a little money for which he bought some ediable and little wood to burn for the night..............Today the same person has a flock of 250 sheeps and 30 cattles living a comfortable life, he also arranged for the proper schooling of his children,two boys and a girl.

I think now the old saying is the truth and may not be discarded...YOU SHALL REAP WHATSOEVER YOU MAY SOW.
