Origin Ceylon Species Hardness Providence Cut 100% Natural mined Gem Oval Facet Clarity Luster Size Weight 7.7 x 5.5 x 4.1mm 1.35cts Comment: This Sapphire has a rather illusive coloring to it - I like it very much. It is very much a platinum grey. Treatments: none* *However, most gemologists confer that it is safer and more honest to presume that a gem these days has been treated in some way, rather to say that it has not. This could mean anything from oil to radiation - and given that even some of these practices occur even in the rough at the mine, it really is probably better to assume some kind of enhancement could have taken place. Having said that, I have some stock that, because of its species, is never enhanced or treated - and so typically with those gems it would be a fairly safe to say otherwise. However, for the purpose of propriety I have to say 'treated' unless proven.
