Nice example of a mixed specimen. Quartz crystals and some stacked calcite on top on the one end which can be viewed under loupe along with black shiny Sphalerite on the base. There is also very little pink Rhodochrosite which is visible to the naked eye. The locality is hardly known to the mineral world and hardly any of this material from this locality is available on the market which makes it a rare specimen (google search). A Greek classic now found only in collections. Specimen comes from the historically mined but now closed Madem-Lakkos deposit in Northern Greece. Will be a great addition to any rock and mineral collection.
