This is a nice Moroccan fossil from the Eocene time, approximately 56 million years ago. This shell patch was found while hunting for dinosaur bones so it must be from the same period. Miners have hand polished one side to bring it to its natural color

We purchased this specimen on our recent trip to Morocco where we dug for dinosaur fossils in a dinosaur mountain and bought this specimen from the group local tribesman who owned the mines in this mountain.
