Scheelite is a rare calcium tungstate mineral, admired for its brilliant luster and attractive colors ranging from golden yellow and honey-brown to orange and colorless. Its high refractive index gives it exceptional brilliance and fire, making it visually striking when cut.
In faceted form, Scheelite is uncommon due to the scarcity of transparent crystals suitable for cutting. Well-cut stones display remarkable sparkle, often rivaling more established gemstones. Larger gems above a few carats are especially rare and highly sought after by collectors.
