CANDY STRIP OPAL This is a natural stone mined in utah USA
It is also known as bacon opal due to its interesting stripe lines.
Well polished
It has had a resin glued to the back to make it stronger.
This is a richly coloured silica sinster opal.It was formed by hot liquid silica depositing a seam of haylite opal .The seam is 90-95% silica opal with trace minerals of iron ,copper,magnesium,titanium,aluminum,and antimony which make up these beautiful patterns.This bubbly liquid formed a extremely wild mixture of botryoidal forms and patterns.
