Marra Mamba Tiger's Eye is another of Australia's exquisite treasures. This highly chatoyant material is found only in the Hamersley Ranges, located in northwestern Australia. It occurs as isolated pockets in seams of blue crocidolite, and typically contains intricately beautiful patterns of shiny metallic hematite.

Marra Mamba is unique on our planet, and so hard to find in any quality. It gets it's name from the area where it formed, in the vast iron rich geological formation of the Pilbara region. We understand this very special Tiger's Eye was quickly mined out long ago, by those who discovered it. The area is now being mined for iron only.
