Gorgeous looking cutting on this huge gem quality eye clean tourmaline from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Many top color and quality stones are coming from this area now and my Afghan suppliers tell me some of it is higher quality than top Afghan material which traditionally was considered the world's best. Unheated untreated natural gemstone.
Check out this for cut. Very transparent looking and free from inclusions. Some VS inclusions present upon magnification.
Look at how the colors work together in this stone. It's an open C axis stone so it will not go dark on you upon rotation. Closed C axis stones are not as high a quality and prices are much lower.Finding huge size rough that is clean like this is extremely rare and the prices asked for such stones can get pretty high. I try to bargain on your behalf to bring the finest quality for the best prices. This stone is $120/ct. Please compare quality.
