The term "Natural Pearl" is reserved only for very rare, old pearls that were harvested from the wild. Most pearls these days (both fresh and saltwater) are cultivated and cannot be called "Natural". Please call these "Cultured Pearl", "Real Pearl" or simply "Pearl". The description should clearly state if the Pearl is Freshwater or Saltwater or provide a certificate stated Natural
