A wonderful example of a specimen now found only in private collections from this locality. Well formed
Boulangerite (hair-like crystals) along with terminated Quartz crystals. Specimen
looks amazing under magnification as there is so much detail to explore. Boulangerite is a not so well known
species and I have not seen any in private collections. The locality is
hardly
known
to the mineral world and hardly any of this material from this locality
is available on the
market which makes it a rare specimen (google search). Specimen comes
from the
historically mined but now closed Olympiada mine in Northern
Greece. Although crystals are obvious to
the naked eye, specimen requires magnification in order to fully enjoy
the very interesting hair-like
structures. A wonderful example of an
extremely hard to find mineral specimen nowadays. Will be a great and interesting addition to any rock and mineral collection. Do not miss this opportunity to add this old timer to your collection.
