Description:
Rubilite gets its name from the Latin ruber, meaning “red.” Its color ranges from raspberry red and rose to deep pinkish-red, sometimes with a slight purple hue. Unlike some red gemstones, true rubilite retains its rich color in both natural and artificial light.
Key characteristics:
Mineral family: Tourmaline (borosilicate)
Color: Red to purplish-red, pinkish-red
Hardness: 7–7.5 on the Mohs scale
Luster: Vitreous (glassy)
Transparency: Transparent to translucent
Crystal system: Trigonal
Sources:
Major deposits are found in Brazil, Afghanistan, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nigeria, and the United States (California).
Uses & value:
Rubilite is widely used in fine jewelry. Stones with deep, saturated red color and good clarity can be very valuable, sometimes rivaling rubies in appearance, though they are a distinct gemstone.

PositiveThe shipping was extremely fast and the Ruby is beautiful-
-
PositiveBeautiful gemstone.
-
NegativeThe colors in the photo have been heavily edited; the seller tried to hide the crack/flaw in the picture. This is a dishonest seller. I do not recommend anyone buy from this seller.
-

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.
When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.
