Neon Apatite Faceted Beads — Apatite was named in 1786 by the German geologist Abraham Gottlob Werner. Apatite gemstones can be green, blue, purple, violet, pink, yellow, colourless, and brown. From neon blue to apatite or blue-green, Madagascar is one of the rarest and most popular colours. Green apatite is also known as stone asparagus, and the green apatite first discovered in Arendal, Norway is called morocite. Apatite is a special treasure when cut properly, but too soft for most jewellery. Apatite defines 5 reference minerals on the Mohs scale of hardness.
