This is a natural untouched rough mined in Mintabie South Australia. This rough has not been faced so there is a chance of getting a nice stone, but it is a gamble.

 We did rub several stones from this parcel-one was a dud and the others had orange but faced green with orange distant.

Some had black bar centre that most times didn’t face good but 1 out 6 faced good opal fire

 So this material is a double gamble but it would be fun to rub down.

 This field is known for its hard opal.

We have taken the photo with the rough wet.

We suggest you look at it with a loop carefully as once rubbed we can not accept returns if you work this opal.
