Vanadinite Mineral Specimen
MOROCCO
BEAUTIFUL RUSTIC PEACH COLOUR
SHINY GLITTERING CRYSTAL ON HOST MATRIX
Vanadinite is a lead vanadate with chromium, which is formed by the oxidation of galena. It is usually red, brown, orange, yellow, translucent to opaque, diamond to honey, shiny and fragile.
The vanadium and chlorine are usually leached from the overburden by downward-moving waters. Vanadinite deposits are usually found in arid regions, with notable deposits in Argentina, Australia, Morocco, Namibia, and the southwestern United States.
Its crystal habit of short hexagonal prisms is also diagnostic. Vanadinite also occurs as incrustations and as globular masses.

PositiveBeautiful demantoid garnets, already cut a couple and produced top grade clean gems. These may be small stones but they are top grade. Very reasonably priced, well packaged and rapidly delivered.
