NUUMMITE
Hardeness 5.5 - 6 Origin Greenland Treatment None
This is a rare mineral from Greenland that is relatively new to the gem world. This is a natural untreated slab of this rare stone.
Amazing pattern of colors from gold silver to blue. Polished stones listed in seda gems!
When in the rough it looks grey but when cut it goes black and has a nice pollished finish.
Known to be “The oldest mineral in existence”, Nuummite is a laminate, or sheet of compressed rock (presumably anthophyllite and gedrite) which is found in an area north of Nuuk, Southern Greenland. The area in which it is mined is accessible by boat only, in an iron-ore region which dates back over 3 billion years.
Nuummite is found in high, rugged, mountain terrain, making it very difficult to obtain. It is of volcanic origin and is believed to have formed about 3 billion years ago. Subsequent influences on the rock (metamorphism) have given rise to the striking mixture of crystals which gives Nuummite its unique appearance.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.
When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.
