Gr-67 This is an Australian blue sapphire we at oftheearthgems faceted from a piece of sapphire rough bought from a miner on the Central Queensland Gemfields in a town which is actually called Sapphire [just down from a place called Rubyvale ] they have a Gemfest there every year and its possible to meet the local miners and on occasion manage to buy some excellent pieces of gem quality rough. While the evaluation certificate says that the colours present are strong blue and dark blue I have noticed under certain lights while tilting the gem length ways a section that sparkles blue green, green , yellow green and occasionally yellow. presents itself. I took the Photos in daylight but the weather was cloudy so some shots got more light than others. I've also took photographs of the evaluation certificate which provide more comprehensive information about the gem.
