The ametrine crystal is one of the lesser known gems, which is strange considering the unique appearance of the gemstone. This rare stone is a bicolor quartz and is only produced in one mine in the world! It is also one of the more recent discoveries, having only been around for a few decades. However, the truth is this stone was first found in the 17th century but got lost in history until the 1970s.
The ametrine stone is golden yellow and purple, something that happens when citrine and amethyst stones come into contact to form one crystal. This also gives the stone its name, derived from AMEthyst and ciTRINE. It is also referred to as bolivianite, trystine, bicolor quartz, bicolor amethyst, and amethyst-citrine.
The ametrine gemstone features golden yellow and purple colors that come about as a result of citrine and amethyst stones coming into contact and mixing to create a new stone

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.
When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.
