Hallmarks of an Otodus Shark Tooth:

  • Size Matters: Otodus teeth are large and triangular, a testament to the shark’s power.

  • Smooth Cutting Edges: Imagine the sheer force behind these predators’ bites.

  • Cusps on the Root: These visible bumps on the root add a unique detail to the tooth.

  • The “Ear” That Tells a Story: Look for the distinctive ear-shaped cusplets flanking the crown – a signature Otodus feature.

A Global Predator:

  • Found worldwide in marine fossils, Otodus teeth hint at their extensive presence across the globe.

  • Dating from the Paleocene to Pliocene epochs (66 million to 5 million years ago), they were prominent predators for a vast stretch of time.

Fast shipping, but unfortunately, the stand wasn't included as promised. The fossil consists of various bones and teeth from many different animals and is quite a pretty conglomerate. For the relatively low price, it's fine. A decorative piece.
