Peridot is a beautiful yellowish green gemstone with the most beautiful gems having an intense green colour. It is a durable gemstone with a hardness of 7 on the MOHS scale. It cannot be found in any other color apart from green.
Peridot is from the mineral olivine which is formed deep within the earths crust. Gem quality Peridot can be found in larger stones with a gorgeous green hue. The stone exhibits double refraction which helps give it the beautiful sparkle that Peridot is famous for.
