Tanzanite is the blue to violet gem variety of the mineral Zoisite. Since its relatively recent discovery in 1967, it has become a mainstream and popular gemstone, and is used extensively in jewelry. To date, Tanzanite is found only in the Arusha region of the African country of Tanzania, and it was named after its country of origin.
Tanzanite gemstones are always Heat treated. Natural Tanzanites have a more dull gray, greenish, or brownish color, and heating to above 800 degrees Fahrenheit (about 430 Celsius) will produce the deep blue to violet color. The main appeal of Tanzanite is its lovely color. Its color ranges from pure blue to purplish-blue. It is highly pleochroic, and will display different color saturation when viewed at different angles.

PositiveNice stone
-
NegativeSeller unreliable: claimed shipping issues without proof, pushed expensive method, then shipped anyway. I was charged an extra ~$40 without approval or refund of the original shipping fee.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.
When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.
