Firstly, the address registered on Gemrock Auctions will be the address sent to, unless otherwise requested at the time of payment.
Secondly, parcel sending days are Tuesdays and Fridays. Items need to be paid for by either 4pm Monday or 4pm Thursday to qualify for the following day's sending. Prior to a parcel being dispatched, the item will be packed and marked off the Gemrock system as being sent.
If you believe you reside at a high risk address or have a business address registered, we ask you to look very carefully at your shipping options. Ordinary mail does not give you insurance or registration (i.e. it will not be required that it is signed for) - therefore, if you have concerns about the safety of your mail, we suggest you upgrade your mail to incorporate insurance or the expedited service. We do not take responsibility for your mail unless you pay insurance.
ETA's as quoted are for usual times expected - most arrive earlier - however some regions of the world do take longer - depending on their Customs dept and holidays also. Late mail does not necessarily mean lost mail.
In over fourteen years of trading, we have found that the biggest cause of mail becoming lost is when the wrong address (i.e. an old address for example) is given on Gemrocks and the customer has moved location. Having said this, there are some regions of the world that we may refuse to send to if we believe the address to be too high risk and must be insured thereby. We will communicate with you if this is the case (although rare).
We have tried to keep postal charges low, and yet in most cases it is costing us with Australia post fees and packaging costs more than you are paying to have sent.
There are three services available:
Express shipping: $25.00 (registered and trackable) We recommend this method for any parcels over the value of $80.
Registered shipping: $15 (registered but not trackable).
Standard Shipping $5.00 (not registered and not trackable) Most customers prefer this method - particularly for stones less than $50.
Insurance (per $100) is $2.50 extra for either service. Items that are not insured are not covered for loss, via replacement or refund.
