  3. Sphene has the third highest dispersion rate at 0.051.

  4. Diamond’s have a dispersion rate of 0.044. Surprised to see diamond coming in fourth? While diamonds don’t have the highest dispersion rate on the list, they still have a higher dispersion rate than most gemstones.

  5. Zircon falls right behind diamonds at 0.039.

  6. Tanzanite has a dispersion rate of 0.030 and is a beautiful violet gemstone popularly used in fine jewelry.
