Wow, what an amazing parcel of old stock Imperial Topaz. As you can see from the paperwork, these Topaz' were appraised in 1980, back when the mines were still producing top quality color. As you can see from the pictures, these stones all have very rich Peachy, Apricot and Pink color, and every stone has "High" intensity, which means there isn't a single dud in this parcel. They're all very fine stones. The largest stone in this parcel, which we pictured by itself is 3.55 carats. This stone alone is worth in the $3000 range. There are 2 stones in this parcel over 3 carats each and 4 stones are over 2.5 carats each. This really is just an amazing parcel of stones. Just incredible color and very few inclusions. Priced much lower than the actual value.
This gemstone comes with the pictured appraisal certificate from the Independent Jewelry Appraisers, Inc in Houston, Texas. For those who don’t know how appraisal values are determined, they are done in two ways. Some appraisers assign a retail value, whereas others give a replacement value, which is considered wholesale. This appraisal gives a "Fair Market Value" which is considered a retail value. That being said however, this "Fair Market Value" was from 1980, when the appraisal was issued, so the stone has increased in value since then. The wholesale value of this stone today is somewhere in the neighborhood of $500 per carat, for this color and clarity. As you can see, we're asking MUCH less than wholesale for an old stock, top quality Imperial Topaz.
I took pictures of these stones in high magnification against a white background to give you the best idea of color and quality. As a gemologist I can verify that the above description is accurate and that this stone/stones have been tested in the gem lab to verify identity and natural origin.

The photos don't do this stone justice. The deep, bright reds are just stunning.
