Description:~
This piece is so unusual! It is a woody brown natural solid Boulder Opal with veins of electric purple within - what I love about it is that it is a thick piece (really beautiful to hold) and its setting is so strong and smooth, going all the way around to both sides. I am not an Opal expert and it came to me from my Lapidary club (a fellow prospector) from the country. It may have some kind of protective coating on it, or just a polish - I do not know (he said it was just polished) - it is amazingly beautiful to look into.
