This Druzy Agate is sensational - some cabochon we have got made with a matt polish which shows up the crystals in the druzy more - they look like black diamonds. They are really amazing set in jewellery.
Annoushka the famous jewelry designer and many others are using black druzy with 18 carat gold and rubies. It looks fantastic. A classy gemstone!
Druzy, druse and drusy all mean the small quartz crystals that form within or on the surface of other stones. When minerals crystals such as garnet, chalcedony or amethyst form, there is sometimes a layer of condensed crystal points that harden on the surface of the stone. This translucent layer is known as a "druzy encrustation," hence the name "druzy crystal." Agate is one of the chalcedony group of stones.
Druzy Agate Healing Properties
Druzy Agate balances as well as enhances yin yan energy. They protect, ground and calm us. Druzy Agate heightens creativity and they are good luck stones. It is especially protective for children. It gives us courage, strength and makes us fearless, thereby relieving stress. Druzy Agate strengthens the intellect.
