THE ENTIRE MINING SITE OF LAVRIO CONSTITUTES A NATURAL MUSUEM SINCE MORE THAN 400 MINERAL SPECIES CAN BE FOUND IN THE REGION. MOST OF THESE MINERALS ARE FOUND IN PRIVATE COLLECTIONS.
