gr54- yes! this stone is a sapphire. we cut this from a parcel of rough we obtained many, many years ago from the umba valley in Tanzania, & although this material is incredibly difficult & challenging to cut, the results produce a wide range of color & stones of very unique & individual nature.makes it well worth the effort as this pale apricot stone which can change to a light green depending on weather it is daylight or incandescent light this chameleon stone is a joy to behold & is bound to steal somebody's heart. we ourselves have jewellery made from color change sapphire & would not be parted with them for any price. fortunately it is a large parcel & there are enough stones for us to be able to share with some lucky people.
