YOWAH SLAB ROUGH

This is a  natural yowah opal rough parcel that has been slabed and pre shaped ready for cutting. the precious opal is embedded in the conglomerate? ironstone.. This material may have natural holes in it and
the sandy areas can be hard to polish.You may polish them as natural stones .Or
in asia the cutters rub fine boulder ironstone [you can collect this in the
cutting machine tray by grinding some material away and allow to dry]. They
then rub this powder in to the pits in the rough and heat it up. Then they
apply super glue/opticon to it and polish.This gives a good glossy finish.

Note we use a nikon camera which turns blue in mauve so consider mauve colours to be more blue.
