Species: Natural Corundum
Variety: Sapphire *
Shape and Cutting Style: Oval Mixed Cut
Weight: 1.44 CARAT
Measurements: 7.67 x 5.68 x 3.60 mm
Colour: Deep Blue
Transparency: Transparent
Treatment: * Enhanced. Natural Sapphires are commonly enhanced (thermal enhancement). Some foreign substance may occur in the fissures due to the enhancement process.
Notes: Another technical treatment declaration. Heat treated to improve the colour. Residues, such as Borax can get caught it small fissures. Borax is used to protect stones during heat treatment. It is also used to purposely fill or heal fissures. Under the microscope I don't think filling or healing was the intention.
Re: Colour. In the hand it does look darker than in the pictures. I must have hit some kind of sweet spot on colour photography that day.
For international orders, all applicable import, duty and tax fees are the responsibility of the buyer. Some Countries such as France, may require a customs agent.
