*It is a copper based stone that is found in the same areas as some other copper based stones. Its colors range from deep turquoise, or blue-green through to an emerald green, and it often grows near Malachite.

* Formula CuSiO3 · H2O with a trigonal crystal system.

* Hardness 5.
