Dinosaur bones found in Alberta, Canada, are typically from the Late Cretaceous period, which lasted from about 100.5 to 66 million years ago. This means that most of the dinosaur fossils found in Alberta are roughly between 66 and 100 million years old. Alberta's badlands, especially areas like Dinosaur Provincial Park and the Drumheller Valley, have been rich sources of these fossils, providing significant insights into the dinosaurs that roamed that region during that time.
Whale ear bones, known as tympanic bullae, are among the more commonly found whale fossils in Florida. The state has a rich history of marine fossils due to its geological formations and past marine environments.
