IGI Certified Natural Rare Untreated Ceylon Star Sapphire.

0.94 Carat with a sharp six ray star under spotlight. Also known as asterism. This stone has a very good round cabochon cut and totally untreated/unheated which is very rare for natural sapphires, especially star stones.

Confirmed as untreated on IGI report.

Has a light greyish blue colour.

Fully certified and sealed by IGI in Antwerp. The clarity on this stone is also good. Some inclusions visible as shown in photos. Inclusions are actually needed in the stone to produce the rare asterism in star stones, so inclusions are to be expected. But this stone has particularly good clarity with a rough, uncut base.

A beautiful untreated star sapphire. Its very hard to photograph star sapphires (especially in the IGI blister seal). Looks much better in person.
