It is a Cordierite crystal substituted by Mica .It is recovered from weathered Holnfels.
The cross section looks like Cherry Blossom flower and this is why it is called Cherry blossom stone.
It is only found in Kameoka City in Kyoto Japan and it is a interesting collectors item
